Wildcards in Last Man Standing
A wildcard is a one-use card that bends a single round in your favour. Most last man standing games do not have them; Standing does, and they change how the whole competition is played.
The cards
Park the Bus
Any draw counts as a win.
Derby Day
Pick two teams, survive if either wins.
The 12th Man
A draw at home counts as a win.
Away Days
A draw away counts as a win.
Super Sub
Swap an unused team out for one you have already used.
How do you play a wildcard?
You play a card when you confirm a pick, and it applies to that round only. Each card is one use per competition — once it is spent, it is spent.
When do wildcards unlock?
Not every card is available from the first round. The game shows exactly when each card unlocks in your competition, on the round you pick in.
Do competitions have to use wildcards?
No. Whoever creates a competition chooses whether it uses them. Without them it is the classic game; with them, a draw is not always the end and the strong sides are not always gone for good.
